iLasik Operation

The eye not only allows us to see and discover everything around us, it is a link to life, plays an important role in forging human relationships and in our communication. The higher a person's eyesight, the higher the quality of life is undoubtedly.
To avoid eye problems, contact lenses, glasses or procedures such as laser treatments are preferred. Using the most innovative laser technology, the iLasik method enables treatment tailored to the patient based on the quality of vision for the treatment of visual disorders such as myopia, hypermetropia and astigmatism without using a scalpel.
In addition to vision problems, it is also used in keratoplasty and in the preparation of the appropriate canal for the rings used in keratoconus treatment.
Based on some tests necessary before the intervention
In the iLasik method, after the eyes are anesthetized with drops, the flap in the corneal tissue is raised and laser beams are sent to the tissue under the flap to correct the defect.
People over the age of 18 whose vision has not changed by more than 0.50 dioptres in the last year and who are suitable for the operation after the necessary examinations and checks by a specialist can have the iLasik treatment performed.
Before we get to the point why the iLasik method should be preferred, it would be useful to briefly deal with the wavefront analysis. A ray of light contains a large number of light rays as it moves through space. When these rays of light hit an unbroken eye, they are refracted into a three-dimensional structure and cone shape and focus on a point on the retina.
Rays reflected from the retina produce clear images parallel to each other at equal distances. These images are referred to as "Wavefront".
The wavefront shows up in...
➢ It is precisely at this point that iLasik recognizes in which part of the eye the defect or irregularity is located and this is achieved by the excimer laser program. In this way, any bowl, hillock or other irregular imperfections mentioned above are corrected quickly, safely and painlessly.
➢ The patient is in a sitting position while the eye exams and other measurements are being performed. The laser treatment is performed in a lying position. Because of this, there can sometimes be a slight rotation of the eyes. The Visx Star S4 IR excimer laser with iris recognition capability brings these small degree differences to the most precise position of the cornea, maximizing the reliability of the applied laser procedure and contributing to the required results.
➢ The Visx Star S4 IR System uses an infrared system to capture eye movements with the highest precision. If the eyes are moved unintentionally during the operation, the excimer laser takes control at that point, shuts itself off and only continues the procedure after a new adjustment has been made.
➢ Intralase femtosecond laser: The treatment of visual disorders such as myopia, hypermetropia and astigmatism with reactive operations.
The Intralase femtosecond laser also offers patients with a thin corneal structure the opportunity to obtain the desired flap thickness. The occurrence of dry eyes after the procedure is minimized and even people with high diopter values can be treated. One of the most important features is the calculation with the highest accuracy, which is a prerequisite for a successful operation.
